In Torrox, when labourers who worked the fields, heard the conch sound, they knows that it was time to go for the meal to keep them going throughout the long day working in the fields.

The Migas (breadcrumbs), they are fried in local olive oil, with water, salt and garlic. Which is served with a typical salad “Arriera salad” (codfish, olives, onions, oranges and oil) .
Every year, the Sunday before Christmas, Torrox is literally invaded by thousands of people, who come to celebrate this festivity, which has become the most promoted tourism to the town of Torrox.
The town hall, as organizer of the party, distributes among the residents and visitors, a plate of ‘Migas’ (breadcrumbs) with a glass of local sweet wine and a typical salad.
This party was declared of good of National Tourist Interest.
You can have a full day of activities, visit a market which sells local products, art and crafts. You can see a traditional verdiales (typical Malaga folk music) group will provide music to accompany the migas tasting. In addition to hear the traditional conch sound.
